2007 Rare and Special Plant Fair
Sunday 13 May 2007
Fota House and Gardens
The Rare & Special Plant Fair was established to ensure that the gardening public has an opportunity to purchase Rare, Unusual and Special plants at reasonable prices, and to ensure that nurseries and breeders of these plants in Ireland have an opportunity to present them for sale. At the same time, the Fair aims to provide an opportunity for visitors to visit a garden that they might not otherwise visit.
This year the Rare & Special Plant Fair, now in its 7th year, will take place in the world renowned Arboretum and Gardens of Fota House, Carrigtwohill, Co Cork on Sunday 13 May 2007.
A large selection of specialist nurseries from all over Ireland will be selling rare Trees, Shrubs, Alpine, Herbaceous and Water Plants etc.
The Plant Fair will be opened by renowned gardening journalist, Charlie Wilkins and will run from 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. A Plant Clinic will be on site to address queries on gardening problems.
A full range of catering services will be available throughout the day.
The Fair is generously sponsored by Horticulture Ireland.
