" Ghosts of the Faithful Departed "

This exhibition is set against the backdrop of isolation, hardship and loneliness as seen in rural Ireland in 1950s when communities were decimated by emigration. It shows haunting images of interiors of houses abandoned, but with family treasures still scattered and decaying.
The pervading atmosphere of this exhibition is one of sadness but at the same time there is a delight in the detail within each photograph.
