Create 2005

Following on from the success of Create 2003, Fota House and organisers of Create are delighted to announce details of:

Create 2005 – Exhibition featuring 24 of Ireland’s leading furniture designer makers.

Dates
Saturday October 1st to Sunday October 16th.

Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. Last admission 4.30pm
Sunday 10am to 6pm. Last admission 4.30pm
Please note that the times of the Lecture Series are yet to be confirmed.

Concert - East Cork Early Music Festival

Just heard of a Concert taking place in Fota House

On Thursday 15th September at 8p.m.

The rich and eloquent sounds of the viola de gamba are at their most enticing in this music from the gamba's golden age at the French court.

Art Exhibition

Hi, my colleagues and myself will be keeping you informed of the different events taking place in Fota House.

I have received details of:

MARA ADAMITZ SCRUPE - Fota Lichens Project

This is a project that surveys native Irish Lichens found on the grounds of Fota Arboretum, and explores their ecological significance and usefulness for assessing environmental conditions. The project is being commissioned jointly by the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Sirius Arts Centre and Fota Arboretum, with funding provided by a grant from the Irish Arts Council.

It runs from the 9th August to 24th August 2005

in the Long Hall & Flower Room in Fota House.
