‘Picnic in the Park’
AT Fota House & Gardens.
Fota Trust is delighted to announce the return to Fota House of the Trinity Gospel Choir directed by Ger Gunn on Sunday 23 July at 7 p.m. Playing with the Choir will be ‘Poles Apart’ which is one of the most exciting new bands in the Cork area and who have been receiving rave reviews wherever they perform. Having played together in Poland for over ten years, this award winning quintet has been playing at numerous venues around Cork with their current line up since July 2005.
The Trinity Gospel Choir is making its third return visit to Fota, by popular demand, having played to capacity audiences on each previous occasion.
The original ‘Picnic in the Park’, which was scheduled for Sunday 7 May, and was to have taken place in the Gardens of Fota House, had to take place inside the House due to adverse weather conditions and much to disappointment of many who had brought their Picnics.
On this occasion, however, all eventualities have been covered and the organizers have hired a Marquee, which will be set up in Front of Fota House with a capacity for 300 people in which the Performance will take place.
The Grounds will be open for those who wish to bring a Picnic from 6 p.m. and if the evening is fine, the sides of the Marquee will be open during the Concert. Hot Dogs, Sandwiches, light refreshments and soft drinks will also be available.
Tickets are €20.00 and should be booked well in advance, as demand is high.
This is an occasion not to be missed. Book early to avoid disappointment.
